I spent my Friday night at Camille’s Black Dog Lavender Farm again – you’re right – wandering around alone in lavender fields is not much of a social life. It was a soft almost wind-less evening and by the time the sun went down the temperature had dropped about 15 degrees making it very nice to be shooting. This was my third trip up to shoot these blooms and the lovely setting they are in. Sort of reminded me of home plumbing projects – takes a minimum of three trips to the hardware store for just about any project. The first two images below were from last evening and I think are close to the last shots for the night – the sun had set and the colors were intense.
This last image is a poster of sorts and the images are from each of the three trips with the exception of Camille in the corner which I got from their website. If you click on it you can see a larger version. I will miss these Friday evenings in the lavender but harvest time is right around the corner and many of these blooms will be made into lavender oil and other sweet products. I took just two stalks home with me and my car smelled wonderful all the way home and even this morning. I am sure that I will be back next year if all goes well.

Excellent work, Deigh. I really love the light in the lower left poster image – really gorgeous.
