Monday, Wednesday and Friday usually find me starting my day with an 0530 Spin Class and today was no exception. With sunrise coming on later i.e., shorter days as summer comes to an end, I find I can still get out and capture some morning light especially on overcast days like today following a major rainstorm yesterday. I headed up into the Coburg Hills just north of town and found this wonderful old white oak that is adorned with moss. It was one of the major occupants of a grove of these trees and had spread out to fill the space. While I was shooting the coyotes down in the gully below just erupted into song. What a morning serenade.
These are the first few shots with a new camera and so far I am very pleased. I would ask that if you see something that seems totally out of whack to you to please let me know – I value your eyes and insight. I am testing the camera so this first shot is an HDR composed of 5 exposures and I think it is OK. I had trouble in the past with HDR compositions so I am happy this seems to have worked well.
