There was an article in a recent Outdoor Photographer magazine that talked about not always aiming for sharpness in all of your images.  I was at Delta Ponds this morning just seeing what I could find – there was a very accommodating Western Scrub Jay that posed for me for a while but I sort of thought I had exhausted the photographic opportunities and turned to walk back to the car.  The sun came thru the broken clouds and lit up a stand of bare trees across the ponds from me and I got the following shot.  It was taken with a 400 mm lens at f32 and  a 1.5 second exposure – the camera was on a tripod and moved during the exposure.

Probably not to everyone’s taste but something different for me.  It is better large so click on the image to get that view.
